The following Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for digital software downloads purchased from us, including support services.
No Refunds
All sales of digital software downloads are final.
Due to the nature of digital products, we are unable to offer refunds, exchanges, or returns on any digital software downloads once the purchase has been completed. By making a purchase, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Support Services
We provide support services for the digital software downloads as part of your purchase. Our support services include assistance with installation, setup, and troubleshooting of the software. Support services are available to you for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase.
Scope of Support: Support services are intended to ensure that the software installs correctly on your computer and that it correctly performs the basic tasks you need to use the computer. During this time, you will learn how to use the novel user interface (multiple virtual machines with tooling to copy files and install software). After your initial setup period (max 30 days from purchase), the computer should “just work” and long term general technical support is not envisaged. This includes support for new versions of operating systems which could be released in the future. This product therefore suits people with some technical savvy and the initiative to refer to documentation and Internet resources to self-support. It would not be feasible to offer extended support to a large number of users, although bespoke support contracts are available to those who require it e.g. DeFi protocols / DAOs.
To access support services, please use the contact details supplied in the software manual accompanying your digital download.
Accessing support services is conditional on installing the software on supported hardware. Other hardware is not supported. To be eligible for support, you must also agree to share logs generated by our installer, which will also confirm your hardware information.
License and Use
Upon purchasing a digital software download from us, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software we created on your business devices.
Our digital download includes free and open source software released under various software licences (“third party software”). We do not grant any licence in respect of third party software.
Our configuration supports the use of proprietary software, including Microsoft Windows and Office 365. Customers are responsible for complying with the relevant software licences, and for the cost of purchasing a Windows licence.
We do not grant any licence in respect of proprietary software.
Unauthorized Use and Intellectual Property
You are prohibited from distributing, sharing, or reselling the components of the digital software download or associated documentation which are our intellectual property without our express written permission.
You are permitted to use the Third Party Software in accordance with the applicable licence. For example, you may distribute, share, modify, or fork Third Party Software which is released under a Free Software Licence e.g. the GPL v2.
If you do not accept these terms, we recommend that you obtain an operating system from Fedora Linux, Debian Linux, or the Qubes OS project directly. This Third Party Software is free of charge and fully open source.
Windows and Office 365 are trademarks of Microsoft. Thinkpad is a trademark of Lenovo. We are not affiliated with either Microsoft or Lenovo.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Your use of the digital software downloads and support services constitutes acceptance of any changes to the policy. For more information, contact our support team on the contact details provided in the manual accompanying your digital download.
